NHAI Reaction On Rishabh Pant Car Accident by Pothole: While India’s wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who was injured in a car accident, is undergoing treatment in the hospital, on the other hand, new information is coming out everyday in this accident. A day ago, where in this accident it was told on behalf of Rishabh Pant that the accident was not because of the speed, but in trying to save the vehicle from a sudden pothole on the road. Now his statement has been denied by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). NHAI said on Monday that there was no pothole on the road where cricketer Rishabh Pant’s car crashed.
NHAI denied having potholes
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, after meeting the cricketer at a hospital in Dehradun on Sunday, had said that Pant told him that his car met with an accident when he was trying to avoid a pothole on the highway. A day after this statement, NHAI kept its point.
Project Director of NHAI Roorkee Division Pradeep Singh Gusain told the media that there was no pothole on the road where the accident took place. The road where the car met with an accident is a bit narrow due to a canal (Rajwaha) adjacent to the highway. This canal is used for irrigation.

NHAI official Gusain also denied that NHAI has repaired the accident site and the ‘potholes’ have been fixed. However, some pictures of a portion of the highway being allegedly repaired by the workers went viral on social media late on Sunday evening.
Earlier, Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) director Shyam Sharma, who met Pant on Saturday, had also said like Uttarakhand CM Dhami that Pant had told about the car accident because he tried to avoid the pothole.
