But why is this increase in the prices of milk?

There are three main reasons for the increase in milk prices. Increasing demand of milk, increase in cost and transportation cost. Due to these three reasons, the prices of milk are continuously increasing. There is a shortage of fodder for animals in the country. Due to increase in demand and limited supply, the prices have increased. Wheat and maize are the main sources of animal feed. Last year, due to the drop in the production of wheat due to the scorching heat, the supply of straw coming out of it has decreased, then maize is being used to make ethanol. Due to which the prices of these things have increased with the decrease in supply. The demand for milk products has also increased. Companies making dairy products are buying more milk than before and they are buying milk from farmers at higher prices. In such a situation, dairy companies are passing the burden of increase in cost directly on the customers, due to which the prices of milk have increased.
