After Reliance-BP, now this company is selling petrol-diesel cheaper than PSU, know the news of work

Cheap Petrol: Nayara Energy, the largest private sector fuel retailer in the country, has started selling petrol and diesel at Re 1 less than government oil marketing companies. Reliance Industries Limited and its UK partner BP Plc are already selling fuel at a lower price than PSU companies.

Private players started selling cheap fuel

State-owned Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have not cut crude oil prices in the domestic market despite fall in international crude oil prices. On the other hand, private retail fuel sellers are passing on the benefit of this fall to the consumers.

What Nayara Energy said

A Nayara Energy spokesperson said, “To promote domestic consumption and better serve local customers, we are offering a Re 1 discount at our retail outlets till the end of June 2023.” He further added, “We believe in being a strong partner for India’s energy needs and will continue to meet the country’s demand.”

Nayara Energy’s vast network

Nayara Energy has a stake of over seven per cent in India’s 86,925 petrol pumps. The company is selling petrol and diesel at Re 1 per liter less than IOC, BPCL and HPCL in 10 states like Maharashtra and Rajasthan.

  • Petrol Rs 106.31 and diesel Rs 94.27 per liter in Mumbai
  • Petrol Rs 106.03 and diesel Rs 92.76 a liter in Kolkata
  • Petrol is being sold at Rs 102.63 and diesel at Rs 94.24 per liter in Chennai.
