The franchisees spent 51.5 crores on 20 players in the age group of 30 to 34. Here the average per player was 2.58 crores. Whereas 5 players aged 35+ were sold for 5.5 crores. The average price per player in this age category was 1.10 crores.

Three most expensive players under 25
Sam Karan became the most expensive player in the history of IPL auction. He got a price of Rs 18.5 crore. He is only 24 years old. Similarly, Cameron Green, the second most expensive player in the auction, is only 23 years old. He was bought for Rs 17.5 crore. Apart from these two, England’s 23-year-old young batsman Harry Brook was also sold for 13.25 crores. This proves that this time the franchisees have bid on the players keeping in view the future.
