CA Counseling Programme: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will conduct the All India Career Counseling Program on October 31. The program will be conducted in offline mode at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium (KD Jadhav Complex).
According to the ICAI press release, the objective of this event is to provide career guidance to students from class 9 to graduation so that they can take the best decisions for their future. Principals, teachers, parents and students of various schools and colleges will participate in this program.
Lakhs of students will take part
ICAI expects that around 5000 students will participate in the program and around 1.50 lakh students from different schools/colleges will participate in the program at different places. Students of all government and government aided schools can register themselves for this program. For this they can apply on icai.org. The chief guest of the program Himanshu Gupta, IAS, Director Education (DOE), New Delhi, Debashish Mitra, President, ICAI will also attend the event.
ICAI is being established by the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 to stabilize the profession of Chartered Accountancy in the country. The Institute works under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India as per the ICAI website. The institute conducts the CA Foundation and Intermediate exams, this year the exams will be conducted from November 1.
Earlier on May 1, the Ahmedabad branch of the Western India Regional Council of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organized a free career counseling seminar for high school pass out students. During this, CA Bishan Shah, President, Ahmedabad branch of ICAI said that passing from class 12 is an important milestone in the life of every student. This is also the time when students have to decide in which field they want to make their career. There are many options available.
