To atone for his sin, he reached Mahadev on Mount Kailash, but Shiva did not appear to him and lost his mind. The Pandavas did not give up and reached Kedar in search of Shiva.
Why did Shiva take the form of a bull?
As soon as the arrival of the Pandavas, Bholenath took the form of a bull and joined the herd of animals. Pandavas could not recognize Shiva, but Bhima took his huge form and spread his feet on two mountains. All the animals got out of Bhima’s feet, but seeing this Mahadev in the form of a bull started meditating again when Bhima caught him. Shiva was pleased to see the devotion of the Pandavas and freed them from all sins by seeing them. Since then, Shiva is worshiped here in the form of a body shaped like a bull’s back.
