According to a MacRumors report, tech giant Apple has admitted that the message ‘SIM Not Supported’ is appearing on the iPhone 14 series devices. After showing the pop-up message, the smartphone completely freezes. The company claimed to have investigated the problem and said that there is no hardware issue. Customers will have to keep their phone’s software updated to deal with this problem.

A bug had surfaced before

Earlier, the company had fixed a bug in the iOS 16 update that prevented some customers from activating the new iPhone 14 device. The company sent a memo to customers, stating that an issue has been detected for iOS 16 that could affect the activation of the device on open Wi-Fi networks.

Apple’s advice, keep the software updated

In a separate support update, the company said that if you have any problems with Messages or FaceTime after setting up your new iPhone, ‘update to the latest version of iOS to resolve the issue’. Apple recommends using the updated software for the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
