Yashasvi Jaiswal Is Set To Debut In Test Cricket: India has to play the first match of the 2-match Test series against the West Indies from 12 July. With this Test match, Team India will also make its debut in the third edition of the World Test Championship (WTC). Some new players are expected to get a chance in Team India’s playing 11 for the Windies series. One name in this is that of left-handed opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal, whose debut in Test cricket is believed to be fixed.

Apart from Yashasvi, Rituraj Gaikwad has also been included in the team for the Windies tour. However, it is expected about Yashasvi that he will be seen playing at the number-3 position.

According to the news of PTI regarding the first Test against West Indies, Yashasvi Jaiswal’s debut for the Indian team in the Test format is considered to be fixed. Before this Test series, Team India played a practice match of 2 days, in which a brilliant half-century innings was also seen with the bat of Jaiswal.

Talking about Yashasvi Jaiswal’s record in first-class cricket, he has got to see quite a lot. Jaiswal has scored 1845 runs in 15 matches at an average of 80.21. During this, 9 centuries and 2 half-century innings have been seen with the bat of Jaiswal. Jaiswal has played the highest innings of 265 runs in first class cricket. Apart from this, in List-A format, Jaiswal has scored 1511 runs in 32 matches at an average of 53.96.
