Ingredients for making Dal Kachori
Maida – 2 cups
Refined oil – 4 to 5 teaspoons
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Soaked urad dal – 1 cup
Kasuri fenugreek powder – 2 tsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – 2 tsp
Coriander powder – 2 tsp
Fennel powder – 2 tsp
Ajwain – 2 teaspoons
Green chili – 2 pieces chopped
Baking soda – half teaspoon
Asafoetida – as per taste
salt – as per taste
Easy way to make Dal Kachori
1. First of all take a bowl and put flour, salt, ghee in it. Now knead it like a dough, if you want you can add some water too.
2. After that cover it and keep it aside. Now make a paste of washed urad dal.
3. Now take a pan, add oil and heat it.
4. When the oil becomes hot, add ajwain and soaked urad dal paste to it.
5. Now add red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, fennel seeds, salt, fenugreek powder and baking soda and mix.
6. After mixing all these things well, add some water to it.
7. When the masala is cooked well, remove it from the gas and keep it to cool and make stuffing.
8. Now make the dough like a round ball. Keep stuffing one spoonful of lentils and then make it in the shape of a kachori.
9. After this, take a pan and heat it by adding oil and fry each kachori till it becomes golden.
10. Now your Dal Kachori is ready. Enjoy this Kachori with your favorite chutney and tea.
