MS Dhoni’s Confidence For Ajinkya Rahane: Chennai Super Kings led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the IPL 2023 title. Now the CEO of the franchise Kasi Vishwanathan disclosed that Dhoni had full faith in Rahane’s ability.

The CEO of Chennai Super Kings told how Dhoni believed in Rahane’s experience and talent. Kasi Vishwanathan said, “Dhoni had told us that Rahane’s experience and talent would help us, whenever we give him a chance, he would do well – Dhoni had this confidence and then Rahane fulfilled the trust – he contributed a lot. Commitment to the team.”

Rahane’s bat was fierce in IPL 2023

Rahane did a great job in IPL 2023 for Chennai Super Kings. The Chennai batsman scored 326 runs in 11 innings of 14 matches at an average of 32.60 and a blistering strike rate of 172.49. During this, 2 half-centuries came out of his bat.

Whereas Rahane hit 24 fours and 16 sixes in the season. The Chennai batsman scored an inning of 27 runs in 13 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes while contributing with the bat in the final match played against Gujarat Titans.

Got a chance to return to Team India through IPL

Due to his brilliant performance in IPL, Rahane got a chance to return to the Indian team as well. Rahane was included in the Test team for the final match of the World Test Championship played against Australia and was also made a part of the playing XI.

Even though the Indian team lost the final match against Australia, Rahane did well for the team in both the innings. In the first innings, he scored 89 runs for the team with the help of 11 fours and 1 six and in the second innings, he scored 46 runs with the help of 7 fours.
