Posting on Twitter on Friday, the airlines said, “We regret to inform that due to operational reasons, GoFirst flights have been suspended till May 28, 2023.” We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellation. Airlines said that soon the payment will be refunded to all the passengers.
The airlines also said that the company has filed an application for immediate resolution and resumption of operations. The company further said in its statement that re-booking will be started for the passengers. However, no date has been released for this.

On Tuesday, budget carrier GoFirst responded to the show cause notice issued by aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The airlines company said that it does not have any fixed deadline for resuming operations.
‘Operations will resume soon’
Civil Aviation Ministry officials said that the airlines have expressed their intention to resume operations at the earliest. A senior official of the Ministry of Aviation said that no fixed deadline has yet come from GoFirst, but the company has expressed its intention to start operations soon. Earlier, the company had to respond to the show cause notice issued by DGCA within 15 days.
Significantly, the regulator had asked GoFirst to explain the reasons for its inability to run operations and had stopped new bookings and sale of tickets. At the same time, the order of NCLT has been upheld by the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) and accepted the petition of GoFirst Airlines for bankruptcy.
