Raita Ingredients

  • 2 cups curd
  • 1 cup boondi
  • 1/4 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp black salt
  • 1/4 tsp red chili powder
  • chaat masala as per taste
  • salt to taste

How to make Boondi Raita

  • To make Boondi Raita, first put water in a pan on low flame and keep it for heating.
  • Turn off the gas, put boondi in it and keep it soaked for 2 minutes.
  • Take curd in a bowl and beat it well
  • Now take out the boondi from the water and mix it in the whipped curd.
  • Add salt and black salt to it and mix.
  • Add red chili powder, cumin powder and chaat masala on top
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  • Boondi Raita is ready, keep it in the fridge for some time and cool it.

Special tips for making Raita

1.Whenever you use curd for Raika, always keep one thing in mind that the finer the curd, the better it will be. For this, after pouring curd in a bowl, keep blending it with a blender for some time.

2.When the curd is blended properly, keep it aside for 10 minutes, so that the curd gets set

3.If you are making raita with cucumber and onion or potato, never add extra water to it. Because after adding cucumber or potato, the curd will automatically become thin.
