In the summer season i.e. in the months of Jyeshtha-Ashadha, people should consume sweet juice, soft water from an earthen pot, coconut, milk boiled at night, sattu, vine etc.
Significance of Jyestha month
The lord of Jyestha month is Mars, which is considered a symbol of courage in astrology. This month is the favorite month of Lord Vishnu and Bajrangbali. In the month of Jyestha, the heat of the sun becomes unbearably hot and intense. But this month also inspires us to bear the scorching heat. After the end of Jyeshtha month, there is arrival of cold rain. Many beautiful flowers bloom in this month, fruits like mango, litchi, vine etc. are planted and the sweet voice of coals is heard all around. That’s why the summer season of Jyestha month is also blissful in many ways.
Avoid these things in the month of Jyestha
- Never sleep during the day in the month of Jyestha. Due to this you can suffer from many diseases.
- Don’t consume excessive oil-spicy food in Jyeshtha month.
- Try to eat only once a day this month.
- Avoid the consumption of garlic, mustard and hot things.
- Consuming brinjal in Jyeshtha month causes many defects and it is not auspicious for the children as well.
- The marriage of the elder son or elder daughter of the family should also not be done in the month of Jyestha.
