The Civil Aviation Minister tweeted that the Indian civil aviation sector is setting new records everyday. Post-Covid, the skyrocketing number of domestic air passengers is a sign of India’s rising growth and prosperity.

On 30 April 2023, a record 4,56,082 domestic air passengers flew on 2978 flights. According to the ministry, a total of 5947 flights have been moved on that day. There has been a tremendous recovery in domestic air traffic since the Corona epidemic. Before the Corona epidemic, the average number of domestic passengers was 3,98,579. According to the IATA report, in terms of passenger load factor, India is ahead of countries like America, China and Japan.
