In T20 International, now Liton Das has become the fastest batsman for Bangladesh to score a half-century on the lowest ball. Litton completed his half-century in just 18 balls, which included five fours and three sixes. He broke the 16 year old record of Mohammad Ashraful. Ashraful scored a half-century in 20 balls against the West Indies in the first T20 World Cup played in South Africa.

The 28-year-old Liton Das missed out on breaking this record last year when he scored a 21-ball fifty in a T20 World Cup match against India in Adelaide.

Due to the stormy innings of Liton Das, Bangladesh won by 77 runs in the second T20 played in Chittagong. Due to rain, this match was played for 17-17 overs. Bangladesh scored 202 runs after playing first. In response, the Irish team could only manage 129 runs for 9 wickets in 17 overs.
