Who prepared the India 6G vision document?

India 6G Vision Document 6G (TIG-6G) prepared by Technology Innovation Group, formed in November 2021 with members from various ministries/departments, research and development institutes, academia, standardization bodies, telecom service providers and industry to develop the roadmap It was done for doing and planning for 6G. The 6G test bed will offer academic institutions, industry, start-ups, MSMEs, etc. a platform to test and verify emerging ICT technologies. The Bharat 6G vision document and 6G test bed will provide an enabling environment for new innovation and rapid technology adoption in the country.

When will 6G be launched?

Significantly, the commercial rollout of 6G is still years away. It is being said that 6G can be started sometime after 2028 or 2029. At present, technology is working on 5G in many places around the world. India has also started its 5G service by the end of 2022, and telecom companies are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that India’s 5G rollout is the best in the world. Both Airtel and Jio are offering unlimited 5G to their customers. Companies have set a target of covering the entire country with 5G by next year.
