British Cop Joins Indians In Dancing Outside High Commission In London During Protest. WATCH

New Delhi: A British policeman was seen dancing with Indian nationals and supporters outside the Indian High Commission in London to oppose the vandalism committed by Khakistani elements and to support the Indian flag, reported news agency ANI. The policeman was seen in his uniform shouting and dancing with Indians outside the embassy in a video that was shared by the news agency ANI.

Following the removal of the Indian flag from the Indian High Commission earlier on Sunday by pro-Khalistani protesters, Indians in the United Kingdom gathered at India House in London on Tuesday to show their support for their nation.

The diverse Indian community that has settled in Britain has shown unprecedented support following the desecration of the Indian Flag on Sunday.

To show their support for the Indian flag and the unity of India, expats from all over the UK traveled to London. The group categorically denied the existence of Khalistan, stating that there are no interested parties.

“We demand action, not statements from Sadiq Khan and from the British government,” one protester declared, quoted ANI.

Protesters were shown dancing to the Slumdog Millionaire song “Jai Ho” in a video. Importantly, British security personnel were also observed shaking a leg with Indian diaspora members to the upbeat patriotic tune during this peaceful protest.

“It was my duty to come out in support of India and the Indian government after what happened on Sunday. I think it is very important that we express our disappointment and anger at the insult of the Indian flag. We all are standing united under our Tricolour,” said another protester.

A pro-Khalistan protestor in London climbed the High Commission of India’s balcony and pulled down the Indian banner, on Sunday.

On social media, a video of the same incident had gone viral. The Khalistani protester can be seen attempting to lower the Indian flag from the balcony in the video that has gone viral. At the end of the video, another man climbs inside the balcony to protect the flag from further harm.

The senior-most UK negotiator in New Delhi was called on Sunday night after the Indian High Commission in the Assembled Realm was vandalised. According to a press release issued on Sunday by the Ministry of External Affairs, the senior-most UK diplomat in New Delhi was summoned late today to convey India’s strong protest at the actions taken earlier in the day by separatist and extremist elements against the Indian High Commission in London.

The complete absence of British security that allowed these individuals to enter the High Commission premises was called for. In this regard, she was reminded of the fundamental responsibilities the UK government has under the Vienna Convention.

“India finds unacceptable the indifference of the UK Government to the security of Indian diplomatic premises and personnel in the UK,” the MEA public statement said.

The official MEA press release stated, “It is expected that the UK Government would take immediate steps to identify, arrest and prosecute each one of those involved in today’s incident, and put in place stringent measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents,” demanding “Immediate steps” from the UK Government.

The attack on the Indian High Commission in the United Kingdom today was denounced by Alex Ellis, the British High Commissioner. He said that the “disgraceful acts” were completely unacceptable.
