Sachin Tendulkar played an unbeaten inning of 200 runs during the Gwalior ODI match against South Africa in the year 2010. At the same time, Australian female cricketer Belinda Clark had made this record in the year 1997 itself by scoring the first double century in ODI history. Belinda did this feat during a match with Denmark.

Talking about Belinda Clarke’s innings, the feat she did in world cricket on 16 December 1997 may not have been discussed much, but she batted brilliantly on that day. In this match against Denmark, Belinda faced 155 balls, in which with the help of 22 fours, he played an unbeaten inning of 229 runs and also took the team’s score beyond 400. In this match, the Danish team was reduced to just 49 runs.

In the year 2018, New Zealand team player Amelia Kerr broke the record of Belinda Clarke, who scored a double century in ODI cricket in the year 1997 itself. In the match played against the Ireland women’s team in Dublin, Amelia faced a brilliant unbeaten inning of 232 runs in 145 balls, which also included 31 fours and 2 sixes. On the basis of this innings, Amelia also became the second player in the history of women’s ODI cricket to have a double century in her name.
