NSE: The National Stock Exchange of India has announced changes in total 42 index shares including Nifty 50, Nifty 500, Nifty Next 50 in its half-yearly review. These announcements have been made yesterday i.e. on 17th February. Under this, changes have been made in many indices and sectoral indices are also included in them.

All these changes will come into effect from March 31, 2023, NSE said in a statement.
Know more which stocks were included – which were excluded
Apart from Adani Wilmar, ABB India, Canara Bank, Page Industries, Varun Beverages have been included in the Nifty 50 index while Bandhan Bank, Biocon, Gland Pharma, Emphasis along with Paytm are being excluded from the Nifty 50 index. However, Nifty has not changed the Nifty 50 index in its time-wise review.
This demand is being made regarding Adani’s shares
It is to be noted that the opposition parties have been demanding the exclusion of Adani Enterprises and Adani Ports from the Nifty 50 since the Hindenburg Research report came out. Adani Group shares are witnessing a steep fall after the Hindenburg Research report came out.
