Pakistan Petrol Rate: The crippling economic condition of Pakistan is not hidden from anyone and inflation has become so high here that people have to be deprived of even food items. The prices of flour, pulses, oil, spices to milk, chicken etc. are also on the sky. In such a bad condition, people have to spend heavily for fuel here. The reason behind this is that the rates of petrol and diesel there are also in the range of inflation. Now again a strong increase in the price of petrol can be seen in Pakistan.

Petrol prices will increase in Pakistan in the next two weeks

In the next two weeks, the price of petrol in Pakistan may increase by 20 Pakistani rupees per liter. Local media has told this on Tuesday. According to the report of The News, sources in the oil industry have said that the government of Pakistan had increased the fuel prices by a whopping PKR 35 per liter in the last fortnight’s review. Currently, the government is charging PKR 50 per liter Petroleum Levy (PL) while the General Sales Tax (GST) is yet to be levied.

Sources said that the price of petrol may increase further, provided the foreign exchange rate is adjusted in the next review. He further said that the exchange rate was high, which would deprive the local consumers of any benefit or reduction in the prices of petroleum products. Petrol prices have come down in the international market, but the sharp fall of PKR against the dollar has hurt domestic consumers by reducing profits.

Oil prices may increase by up to Rs 40

According to The News report, the sources also said that if the government adjusts the exchange rate by PKR 20 per liter, then the price of petrol may increase further, which will increase the overall price to PKR 40 per liter. .
