One-sided victory in Nagpur Test match, Team India’s position strengthened in WTC points table as well

In this table, where the Australian team is at the first place with 70.83 marks percentage, the Indian team has now got 61.66 marks percentage. With this victory, the Indian team has now taken steps towards securing its place in the WTC final match of this edition to be played at The Oval.

To make it to the finals of this edition of the World Test Championship, the Indian team will have to win this series by at least a 3-1 margin. With this, the score percentage of the Indian team can reach 61.92 and then in such a situation, there will be no threat from Sri Lanka, which has to play a 2-match Test series against New Zealand in the month of March.

On the other hand, if the Indian team now manages to win this series by 3-0 or 4-0, then it will finish first in the points table of the World Test Championship. On the other hand, if the Australian team does not manage to draw or win any one of the next 3 Test matches, then its hopes of playing in the final may turn sour.
