PM Swanidhi Yojana: Telecom and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said today that the government year 2023 With the help of digital technology, special emphasis will be laid on providing micro loan facility of up to Rs 5,000 to street vendors. Ashwini Vaishnav said at the Digital India award distribution ceremony, “In 2023, special attention will be given to providing loan facility in a simple way to meet the needs of street vendors for micro loans ranging from Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000.”

He said that the prime minister Narendra Modi Has allocated around Rs 52,000 crore to take 4G and 5G telecom services to all parts of the country to digitally connect every citizen. The Railway Minister said that the country will see the implementation of indigenously developed 4G and 5G technologies this year. He said that according to the vision of Prime Minister Modi to make India self-reliant in the field of technology, an electronic chip manufacturing plant will be established very soon in the country.

Last date of PM Swanidhi scheme extended till 2024

Just last month in December itself, the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana has been extended till December 2024. Earlier its last date was till 31 March 2023. Under this scheme, loans are given to small businessmen and street vendors. The Ministry of Finance had informed about this on Twitter.

The Pradhan Mantri Street Vendors Self-Reliant Fund (SVANidhi) scheme was launched in June 2020 as a micro loan facility. The objective of this scheme is to empower the street vendors to compensate for the loss due to the Kovid-19 epidemic.
