Himachal government will start this scheme for the education of young people, poor children will get benefit

Early Childhood Care Scheme: The Himachal Pradesh government has given consent to the Early Childhood Care and Education Teacher Scheme-2022 for children in the age group of 3-6 years in government primary schools under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This was agreed upon in the meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. CM said that the benefit of this scheme will be especially given to the students living in socio-economically deprived districts and places.

Regarding this, an official said that pre-primary teachers will be recruited in this scheme. He said that the education department will frame rules for their recruitment and till such rules are finalized, teachers will be appointed on outsourcing basis through HPSEDC. These teachers will be given an honorarium of Rs 9,000 per month.

The spokesman said that the department would prepare a bridge course for the candidates who have done one year diploma in nursery teacher education, pre-school education or early childhood education program to make them eligible for the scheme. Meanwhile, the cabinet has given its approval for the regularization of education department water carriers who have served 11 years as part-time or daily wage earners on March 31, 2022 and September 30, 2022.
