Indian Cricket Team: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian team for the limited overs series against Sri Lanka. There have been many changes in the T20 and ODI team. While Hardik Pandya has been given the captaincy in the T20 team, Suryakumar Yadav has been made the vice-captain. Along with this series, BCCI has almost made its intention clear. The return of regular captain Rohit Sharma has been seen in the ODI team.

Before the T20 World Cup, Hardik captained India’s T20 team on the tour of Ireland. After the World Cup, he captained the Indian T20 team in New Zealand and has now been given the responsibility for the series against Sri Lanka.

The opportunities Hardik is getting continuously are indicating that the board is now moving towards a change in the T20 team. A very young team has been selected for the series against Sri Lanka, which testifies that now a completely different team is being prepared for T20.

ODI World Cup is to be organized in India at the end of this year and for this also the board has started its preparations. Rohit Sharma is set to lead the Indian team till the World Cup and after that Hardik has been made the vice-captain of the team to make changes in the team.

By giving place to youngsters like Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer and Ishaan Kishan in the team, the board has cleared the way forward. Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja are not fully fit yet, so there is no place in their team. When he becomes fit, he will get a place in the Indian team immediately.
