The premium for Kharif, Rabi and commercial or horticulture crops has been fixed at 2, 1.5 and 5 percent respectively.

Which farmers get benefits

Under this scheme, all the farmers doing farming are given the benefit of crop insurance scheme. Farmers who take loan from Cooperative Bank or Kisan Credit Card get automatic insurance. Under this scheme, benefits are also given to those farmers who have a credit card and do not have loans from cooperative banks.

  • On loss of crops due to rain, flood and natural calamities during standing crop
  • Compensation is given to the crop kept in the barn or field if it is affected by cyclone, cyclonic rain, untimely rain, hailstorm.
