Researchers divided the people who were included in it during the study into two groups and collected the data of Kovid-19 in patients suffering from liver stiffness. Between 2019 and 2022, all patients at Massachusetts General Hospital underwent ultrasound shear wave elastography. Shear wave elastography is the most modern technology for measuring stiffness in liver tissues.

Cholangiosides are cells lining the outside of the liver and the inside of the bile. Since liver is the largest immune organ of the body, Kovid targets antigen-antibody after infection. For this reason, liver effect occurs in half of the cases of Kovid.
