Axar Patel was replaced in place of the injured Ravindra Jadeja. Since joining the Indian team, Patel has been impressive with his bowling spells in both the matches against Australia. In Mohali too, Patel showed a wonderful miracle, where he took 3 wickets for 17 runs.
Patel further said, “We keep talking in the meeting and planning ahead. I played for Kings XI Punjab in Mohali, where I got the hang of the conditions and knew what kind of balls would work well. Before I bowled my first ball that day, the fact that we batted first, we knew how the pitch behaved, is of no real help to the bowlers.”
With India’s win in Friday’s match, the three-match series is now level at 1-1, with the final match being played against Australia in Hyderabad on Sunday.
