India Vs Bangladesh KL Rahul: India’s stand-in captain Lokesh Rahul lauded opener Ishan Kishan for his double hundred against Bangladesh, saying he grabbed his chances well. Rahul said that with this victory, the confidence of the Indian team will increase a lot before the Test series starting on 14 December. Kishan, who joined the team due to injury of regular captain Rohit Sharma, set a new record by completing a double century in 126 balls. He scored 210 runs in 131 balls.
The Indian team registered an impressive 227-run victory after scoring 409 runs for eight wickets. Rahul said at the award ceremony after the match, “This was expected from our team. Virat (Kohli) and Ishaan set the stage for us. The scores do not tell how he started the innings. Ishaan grabbed this opportunity with both hands. He batted brilliantly.
Rahul also praised Kohli, who played the role of a guide during the 290-run partnership with Ishaan. He said, “Virat guided him brilliantly with his experience.”
Rahul believes that this victory will boost the confidence of the team. He said, “I am very happy with this performance of the team. We are learning as a team. Still trying to get better. We were not lucky that the results of the last two matches were not in our favor. With this win, we would like to take confidence for the Test series.

The captain of the opposing team, Liton Das, also praised Ishaan’s fearless attitude and said that his and Kohli’s partnership took the match away from their grip. He said, “The way Ishaan and Virat batted, the match got out of our grip. Especially the way Ishaan batted, he was very aggressive. We tried our best but could not find a way to get out.” He said,” If the score was 330-340, it would have been a different match. They are a good team and we played good cricket in the two matches. This will boost our confidence a lot.
