The Union Health Ministry has recently informed that India’s famous document exchange platform DigiLocker has tied up with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Now this cloud based storage platform will also act as a health locker. In this, any person can easily digitally save many health documents like their vaccination records, doctor’s prescriptions, lab test reports, hospital discharge certificates etc. Users can use this app like a health app in which all their medical information is saved.
Ayushman Bharat Health Account will get this facility-
Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) has crores of beneficiaries across the country. In such a situation, if ABDM account holders link their account with DigiLocker, then they get many other facilities. In this, you can easily deal with tasks like getting information about other hospitals and labs. Along with this, you can also check old health records through this app. If you have gone to see a doctor in a hospital, then you do not need to carry files along with you. Through this app only you can share your ABDM profile with registered healthcare professionals. Through this app, the government wants to create a paperless system so that every beneficiary of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission can use it.
Benefits of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission-
The Modi Government of the Center has started the Ayushman Bharat scheme for the people of economic and weak income groups across the country. Under this scheme, the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat get free insurance up to Rs 5 lakh. Now the government has started connecting the beneficiaries of this scheme digitally. Every beneficiary is getting an ABHA number, through which he can easily extract his complete medical records by putting this number on the website. Now the facility to link ABHA number with DigiLocker has been started. With this, it has become even easier for the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission to maintain digital records.
