Delhi Universty Admissions: This time less students of the state board have got admission in the undergraduate course of Delhi University (DU). The reason behind this may be that this time the admission in DU UG course is not given on the basis of class 12th score but on the basis of Common University Entrance Test score. On one hand, where the new semester of DU has started from today, this big change is being seen in the list of students released by the college. According to the Indian Express report last year Hindu College in BA Honors Political Science had 124 students from the state board and this time only one.

how many students were from which board

If we talk about the last year’s figures in detail, last year a total of 146 students were selected in BA (Hons) Political Science program after the first two cut-off lists. Of these, 124 students were state boards. Out of these 120 students were from Kerala Board, 3 from Rajasthan and 1 from Haryana Board.

What do this year’s figures say

Last year a total of 102 applications were received for this program out of which 101 were from Kerala Board. Hindu College’s BA Honors Political Science program is the first choice for top-scoring students in CUET.

what is the reason for less students than the state board

National Board students faced less problem

Experts believe that this was the first year of CUET due to which there may be a problem as the students of the State Board got less time to prepare. Whereas CBSE students read only NCERT books and CUET exam was based on NCERT books only. This may be one of the reasons why less students than the state board have got less admission in certain courses of DU this time.
