If we look at the businesses of the top 5 profitable companies, Molbio Diagnostics provides Nucleic Acid Tests for Infectious Diseases. In the latest funding, the company has raised $85 million and the company’s latest valuation is $1600 million (Rs 13120 crore). This is followed by the app-based tutorial platform PhysicsWallah. The company has recently raised funds of $100 million and the company’s latest valuation is close to $1100 million i.e. Rs 9000 crore. Oxyzo is also a profit making unicorn. The company is an online platform for business credit lines. The company recently raised $200 million in funding. The value of the company is 1000 million dollars i.e. 8200 crore rupees.
Amagi is also a profit-making unicorn that recently raised $82 million in funding. And the latest valuation of the company is $1400 million (Rs 11,480 crore). CoinSwitch is an app based platform for trading cryptocurrencies. The company has recently raised a fund of $ 260 million and the valuation of the total company is $ 1910 million (Rs 15660 crore).
Reduced funding in 2022
According to Trancxn’s Insight reports, the year 2022 has been extremely challenging for business funding. India’s business funding has declined by 33 percent in 2022. A total funding of $ 35.6 billion has come in 2022, which was $ 53.7 billion in 2021. However, according to the report, funding has not decreased only in India, but funding has decreased at the global level. The biggest decline in business funding has come in China. Funding in China has dropped by 54 percent. Funding in China has been $ 44.6 billion, which was $ 98.3 billion in 2021. Funding in America has declined by 28.8 percent and it has come down from $ 354.6 billion to $ 254.7 billion.
