18 children die in Uzbekistan after drinking Indian cough syrup

A painful news is coming out from the Middle East country Uzbekistan. 18 children have died after drinking Indian cough syrup in Uzbekistan. The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan claims that 18 children who died had consumed cough syrup of an Indian company. The name of this company is  Doc-1 Max Syrup. This cough syrup was made by the Indian pharmaceutical company Marion Biotech Limited. When the lab was tested, it was found that the syrup contained  dirty ethylene glycol.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has tweeted on this whole matter. Jairam Ramesh tweeted and wrote, ‘Made in India cough syrup is very deadly. Earlier in Gambia, 70 children had died after drinking it. Now 18 children have been killed by this syrup in Uzbekistan. Modi government should immediately control these pharmaceutical companies and take strict action.

Marion Biotech has made syrup

18 children died in Uzbekistan But many types of reports have been published in the media. These reports have revealed that Dak1-Max cough syrup was taken without a doctor’s advice. Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Health said that 21 children were suffering from breathing problems. Had drunk cough syrup Doc-1 Max syrup. Due to which 18 of them died.

WHO is talking to Uzbekistan officials

According to the Indian newspaper ‘World Health Organization’ Uzbekistan Talking to officials. The death of the children is being investigated. However, Marion Biotech, the manufacturing company of Doctor-1 Max, and the Union Health Ministry have not yet spoken on this whole matter.
