Nirmala Sitharaman said that the National Book Trust, Children’s Book Trust and other sources will be motivated to provide books in regional languages to promote reading culture and make up for the loss of education during the pandemic. Along with this, books will also be made available in English. He also emphasized on the digitization of the library.
More than seven thousand Eklavya model schools will open
The Finance Minister said in his announcement that more than 7000 Eklavya Model Schools will be opened across the country for tribal students. To teach in these, the center will appoint more than 38,000 teachers and support staff. That is, along with the school, employment opportunities will also be made available.
AI centers will be built in educational institutes
Three Centers of Excellence will be opened in top educational institutes. In this, leading industry players will be partners who will help in research, help in developing new applications and help in solving problems related to health, agriculture etc.
Libraries will also be set
The Finance Minister said that a National Digital Library will be set up for children and youth, in which books of all subjects and all sections will be made available. He said that states will also be motivated to set up libraries at the ward and panchayat levels so that everyone can take advantage of the National Digital Library.
